Migrant Entrepreneurship Hub
A program that supports migrant entrepreneurs, regardless of their countries of origin, in developing their maximum personal and entrepreneurial potential within a collaborative, intercultural and ongoing learning community.
WHY an entrepreneurial Hub for migrants?
According to a study developed by Associação Renovar a Mouraria and financed by Lisbon’s Municipality BIP/ZIP Program on 2022, it was identified that 88% of the migrant population linked to the Mouraria nieghborhood are economic migrants. 43% of the members of this intercultural community have a desire to create their own businesses and 39% of them wish to develop their professional skills. However, the community was lacking a support network where they could find sense of belonging, reach for support and boost their creative and productive potential.
HOW do we meet our community’s needs?
Through a human-centered approach where entrepreneurs develop their personal skills, professional competencies and business plans with the support of mentors, volunteers and multidisciplinary human and social sciences professionals. We value diversity and each entrepreneur's potential.
